Creative Director & Founder
LAUREN MONTGOMERY
Lauren Montgomery is a published, international interior designer and entrepreneur. With a BFA in Interior Design and 15 years of experience in commercial interior design, the knowledge base goes far beyond industry standards.
Armed with both technical design skills and creative direction that is sought after by brands like Coachella, The Design Birds was born out of a niche between event design and interior design. Owner and Creative Director of Collective Rentals, a specialty event rental company out of Los Angeles, Lauren and her team speak both architectural and event design fluently.
Born and raised in Southern California with Southern roots from New Orleans, this world traveler is a designer's designer and loves collaboration with creatives of all genres.

LARISSA DENTON
AKA LARZ. Our fashion icon, project manager, stylist, and content producer all wrapped into one unshakeable force. Larz cut her teeth in the hospitality, beauty and wedding worlds before throwing herself headfirst into event design with natural intensity. Her bright smile and electric energy bring a collaborative spark that makes every project feel lighter, intimate and more fun.
Born and raised in Laguna Niguel, California with Southern roots, she blends a laid-back, homegrown vibe with sharp instincts and a creative drive that doesn't sleep. Whether she's cooking, digging into music, styling looks, exploring healing, or building something with her own two hands, Larz infuses everything she touches with style, soul, and a whole lotta edge.​ To know Larz is to love Larz.

GEE ESTRADA
Gee is born and raised in Los Angeles and has built her career on turning bod ideas into immersive environments that hit with intention. With her BFA in Interior Design from Cal State Long Beach, she blends technical precision with an instinct for the unexpected. When she's not crafting transformative spaces, you'll find her knee-deep in DIY fashion projects with a fearless, hands-on approach. As Lead Designer, she pushes boundaries, elevates details, and brings an unapologetically creative edge to every experience she designs.

SARAH LUKEHART
Sarah is our fashion-forward mama of three and designer. She has been with us for over 5 years and recently moved back to Idaho with her family to be closer to family. Sarah is a sweet, sweet soul and we are so lucky to have her apart of our team. You are bound to receive a professional and beautiful design deck coming from the hands and brain of Sarah - a true boss babe.

ALISON GILMORE
Alison is a Long Beach girl through and through. Born and raised, she’s got that classic LBC blend of laid-back coastal energy and a sharp, creative drive.
When she isn’t momming it up with her two boys, she’s usually obsessing over the "little things" that make a big impact. With a professional background in Interior Design, she’s naturally transitioned her killer attention to detail into the world of event design.
